recently...

I'm not sure exactly why, but my post on the 5th didn't show up.  Maybe i'll repost them later.  Anyways, I've been shooting a lot lately which makes me feel like I'm being productive.  Here is a shot of one of my roommates playing video games.  I just bought a 80-200 2.8 lens and was playing around with it and ended up liking this frame.

Digital Pinhole....

My digital pinhole finally came to life once Fifer stole a glue gun for me from Michael's art store. So here are a couple shots from my creation. Nothing but a pop can, body cap, broken UV filter and some glue. Enjoy some incredibly out of focus images despite being f/200 something.

lately...

For the past couple days I haven't been photographing as much because I've been shadowing a Columbus Dispatch photographer, James DeCamp. Jim is a great guy and I've been learning a lot about newspaper photography.

Winter is here...

After saying goodbye to Steph, Dustin and Dan this morning, I got in my car and noticed the flakes on the windshield. Winter is here but I'm okay with that for now.

the beginning...

I decided to make this blog for several reasons. Mostly because after spending the weekend in Atlanta at the photojournalism seminar, I came back very inspired and even more enthusiastic for photojournalism but also realized that, well, I'm a freshman PJ major (which my portfolio reviewer pointed out). That is where this blog comes in. Hopefully it will push me to carry my camera around more, shoot a lot more, and get some feedback and critiques.
